Out of Town Guests

Do you have a hotel room block?
Yes, we do! Check out our Travel page for room block details.

Are there any local places you’d recommend I visit while I’m in town?
We definitely encourage you to take advantage of the weekend. Check out this list of restaurants and things to do in the area. Nothing beats getting out on the lake, that's where we will be!

Ceremony & Reception

Where is the ceremony/reception taking place?
Both the ceremony and the reception will take place at the Hagadone Event Center. Check out our Schedule page for more details.

What should I wear?
We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite semi-formal cocktail attire!

Note: The ceremony will take place on grass, and there will be plenty of dancing at the reception. Think about your footwear accordingly!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors overlooking the lake in the Hagadone Event Center garden. The reception will take place indoors at the Hagadone Event Center. The Event Center will also serve as a backup ceremony space should the ceremony need to be moved indoors for any reason.

Is the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?
Yes, both are wheelchair accessible!

What time should we be there?
Check out our Schedule page for the full timeline details.

Can I take pictures or videos during the ceremony? How about the reception?
During the ceremony we want everyone to be engaged during the moment and we would like to see your faces, not your phones - so we are going to have an unplugged ceremony. Please keep all devices away and silent during the ceremony.

Feel free to take and post pictures during the reception! We would love if you would use our wedding hashtag #TrefryAndToHold when posting so that we can find all your pictures later.

What happens after the ceremony?
Immediately after the ceremony, you will be well taken care of at cocktail hour. The bar will be open, lawn games will be available, and delicious hors devours will be available to hold you until dinner! We are going to sneak away for a couple of minutes to take some pictures and soak in the “newly married” feeling.

Will there be drinks served?
Obviously - we are Cougs! There will be an open bar all night. Please drink responsibly and make sure to bring your ID.

Will there be food options to accommodate my dietary restrictions?
There will be several yummy food options for dinner. We will provide an opportunity for you to submit your dietary restrictions when you RSVP. If you have any dietary concerns, we will make sure that arrangements are made with our venue.

Will there be dancing/entertainment?
Of course, we will have dancing! We have arranged for a DJ that will help you dance your tush off.

What time is the reception scheduled to end?
Check out our Schedule page for a complete timeline of the evening.

Transportation

Will transportation be provided?
Yes! It is very important to us that there is no drinking and driving. Transportation will be provided to and from the Coeur d’ Alene resort and the venue, before and after the wedding.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?
If you won’t be drinking and would rather drive yourself, there is a parking lot at the venue where you can park for free.

Who can come?

Are kids welcome?
We want you to be able to kick back and have fun, so this event will be catered towards adults. The names of those invited will be included in your invitation.

Can I bring a date?
We do our best to keep close tabs on the significant others in everyone's lives.

In order to keep our guest list on track, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!

What’s next?

I received the save the date. Will there also be a formal invite?
Yes! The formal invite will be sent out in the spring. It will include more wedding details as well as RSVP information.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
RSVP information will be sent with the formal invites. The exact RSVP deadline will be determined and communicated on the invitation. All RSVPs will be handled online.

I want to get you a gift! Do you have a registry?
You being there on our special day is the best gift you could give us - seriously. If you do want to gift more, check out our Registry page.

Are there any other wedding events I am invited to?
We are still working on finalizing exact plans. All wedding events will be communicated on our Schedule page

Wedding Party

When do we need to get into town?

We would like to have our Wedding Party in town on Friday night. There is another wedding at the Hagadone Event Center on Saturday, so we have to work our rehearsal around their availability. As a result, we have to have our rehearsal on Saturday morning at 9:30 AM.

Are there any pre-wedding events?

We are planning a Welcome Party on Friday evening at Flatstick Pub in Spokane for our guests. There will be food, drinks, mini golf, duffleboard, and possibly a few speeches. Check out https://flatstickpub.com/faqs/ for information about the location.

Can kids come to the Welcome Party?

Yes, kids are welcome. Please note that Flatstick becomes 21+ after 7pm.

Are we required to get our hair and makeup done?

Only Joe is. Everyone else - it’s totally up to you if you want to get some pre-wedding pampering done or if you want to beautify yourself. We are still working on locking down where hair/makeup will be done and how much it would cost per person - stand by!

Will there be drinks and snacks provided while getting ready? Can I bring my own drinks and snacks into the getting ready rooms?

We will make sure everyone is fed, hydrated, and boozed-up while we are getting ready. Please DO NOT bring outside alcohol into any of our getting ready rooms. If you do, and we get caught, the resort will not open the wedding bar at the reception. Don’t be the person who causes us to have a dry wedding - we will throw you in the lake.  If you want AO (looking at you groomsmen) - keep it to your personal hotel rooms.
